Heeyy peeps, how are you? Not that many pics of this look but I bet there'll be plenty of that top though. It's sooo pretty and all frilly, hehe. As you sure have noticed, frills and ruffles are a huge thing this season. Since I've already had my little "ruffle period" years ago and been kinda sick of them since I must admit, this trend has grown on me reaaally slowly. However, maybe enough time has passed from those days to be comfortable to channel my inner ruffle-gal again, ha! Not to go overboard with it, I like to style my ruffles with casual pieces like these ribbed culottes which btw were the comfiest pants of the summer by far. Some basic denim jeans, joggers or cigarrette pants would do just as fine. All in all, I think that clear lined neutral colored pieces work best with frills. What's your thoughts on this rather romantic victorian vibe phenomenon? A counter strike to the forever on-going "less is more" minimalism perhaps?

/Moikkuli. Hiukka röyhelöä pukkais täältä. Ei varmasti ole moneltakaan jäänyt pimentoon yksi tän syys-/talvikauden kovimmista trendeistä? Romanttinen viktoriaaniselta aikakaudelta (tai vaihtoehtoisesti mummon vaatekaapilta) ammentava röyhelöryntäys valloitti niin muotinäytökset kuin sittemmin myös ketjuliikkeiden rekit. Selkeesti jonkinmoinen vastaisku ikiaikaiselta tuntuvalle muodin "less is more"- minimalismisuuntaukselle. Pienen teinivuosien röyhelövaiheen jälkeensä jättämän alkuällötyksen jälkeen alkaa meikäläinenkin kuitenkin vähän tälle söpöilylle lämmetä, etenkin yllä näkyvän Asos-paidan tyyppisten löytöjen myötä yhä varmemmin. Parhaiten saankin rimpsut istutettua omaan tyyliin neutraalinsävyisinä ja rennompiin, selkeälinjaisiin vaatekappaleisiin yhdisteltyinä. Esim juuri simppelit culottes-pöksyt, farkut tai vaikkapa joggersit hoitavat homman kotiin.
Mitäs ajatuksia kyseinen trendi herättää? Riemastuttaa? Kammoksuttaa?
